According to science, everything is 99.9999999% nothing. Article here.   With that in mind, the scientific explanation that anything material is mostly electron clouds and magnetic force is what we feel, could we ever question miracles again? If science, which is typically the anti-religion take of the world's origin, existence, and meaning, is so convinced in the presentation, which is empty space, why would we struggle is accepting "non-natural" events from affecting our lives, when the "natural" isn't as concrete as we thought? Science! Jesus was a man, a Son, physically, birthed from a virgin. Science says this is impossible. The Old Testament prophesied of Jesus coming, as a savior, the messiah. Science says he was just a man. The New Testament says that Jesus did come, He was alive, He did talk and interact and die and rose again from the grave. Science claims this man did live, but that he must have been a crazy man claiming what he did. S...

Having no responsibilities means that we could essentially do whatever we want. If we had no job, no children, no bills to pay, what a glorious day, yes? I assume the thought brings fear, as it should. If we have no responsibilities, we are then not responsible, or no longer important. Lacking importance is something man is not familiar with, after all, psychology justifies that we are all the authors of our own stories and everything we view in the world, is through our lens, or how it affects us. Yes, we are the first thought and we fear that we will come across in this selfish way. However, in our actions, rather than words, walk rather than talk, we do what we claim we don't do. Phrases, like, "I'm just saying," or, "I don't mean to sound like a jerk but..." are part of our everyday language to justify and relate to the people we are talking with. However, typically the people we are talking with by the point we choose to use those justifying phr...

White Privilege.

I wrote the title before I thought of the words. I figure if this is something to be published, they will come to me. If not, then the words fall to the ultimate delete button anyways and at this point could write whatever I want. "I secretly love the texture of cardboard and wish more foods were like it." Nonetheless, let me start by saying that "white privilege" as I mean here is not from the perspective of advantage as it relates to the world's view. If anything, it is a detriment many discriminatory people fall into that prevent seeing the bigger picture. I feel "white privilege" in our perspective and growth in the world is equivalent to trying to see the curvature of the earth by standing on the deck of your house. Sure, we might see something depending on how close the next door neighbor is from us or a building in our view, but we don't have all we need to see what is ultimately there. However, if I want to truly see the curvature of th...

Hope's lost words.

It is the hopeless that need hope, for the optimists have it all figured out right? Like, would we listen to those who maintain a positive regard? Would we want a song about love, where everything worked out, the happy ending, the positive self getting all the stuff they ever wanted? Boring. That isn't worthy of our time. We need pain. We need to feel something and happiness is taken for granted. Get in touch with your spirituality, the fact that life here is temporary and that there is only room for love, removes a lot of pain. Unfortunately, art without pain, without sacrifice, is shallow. Optimism, positivity, they are good for self-help books, but for the real sellers, we need to have us some discomfort. There is hope in Jesus, he died for us after all. The original superhero, for no other Marvel Character did what he did, even in their fictional tales. We no longer live in the pain of death, we are now saved. Say that again using logic. It is as logical as the sun settin...
