One must realize that we invest in the worst investment ever when we toil away to make money. Yes, money is the worst investment out there, and that is not because I do not have any, but because what I do have can only buy things of this world. Like fun money at an amusement park, I don't really need a lot because I won't be here long. I figure maybe a few bucks here and there, get something to eat, something drink, sustain myself. Overall, the park will close, and I will go home, why be left with a bunch of worthless pieces of garbage along the way for someone else to pick up. The turmoil over money is one I am very familiar with and thought would save me one day. Yes, one day a yacht was going to show up at my house and take my family and I away to a different world. One where I would then be content and I would then be generous and then I could be the peaceful father depicted on the TV commercials and sit com shows. A lie I was sold on as the greed for more money leads...

3PM on a Tuesday

This might be the worst, most despicable time of the week. We are just enough in, yet not far enough to see the weekend. For it is the " weekend," that seems to be the ultimate goal to the week, hope a Saturday or Sunday provides, more potential, more freedom; those 48 hours, a sunnier, warmer time. Man wants freedom, we want the availability to make our own decisions, outside of the confounds of this desk, this window, these people, this schedule, yet if I had all the time in the world, work would be my escape. I see the...

You fired them, or they moved on, or they were cut due to budget restrictions, or maybe you saw the potential that you could not contain and therefore let them fly, a noble ending to a company admitting they cannot supply what the person needs.   The qualities of an ideal employee, not as easy as determining who is the hardest worker, but in the subtleties of the person. First, the person whom you might see working late, seems well-liked, appears to have all the answers, never appears out of sorts; on paper, and in interview, this may appear to be THE person, but they aren’t. They are most likely the same person you will grow to dislike or form some sort of disconnect with over time with. They aren’t real enough, they appear to be balanced, and you can’t quite put your finger on it, but something is just enough "off," but yet identifiable to the point, an employer might think its them.  It isn’t.  Its that employee, to no fault of their own mind you. The pe...
