What If?

Opposition at times seems to be the best method to describe something. When one cannot think of what it is, one can only know what it isn't. With that, what if Jesus did not die on the cross for our sins as the Holy and perfect Son of God in flesh to account for the terrible deviation against all that is true. Furthermore, what if He didn't exist. A world without Jesus, a world then without the Bible, for the Bible refers to His coming and God's sending His son for Redemption.

So, no Holy Inspired Word from God. Therefore our sins, they still exist. They are still ours to account for. Life would not be full of rebellion, there would be nothing to rebel against. There would be no hope. All that is good would be lost to the evil of man in this world, and those that oppose Jesus now, or oppose God don't even realize the structure provided for them to defile God's nature by the ones who believe in Him.
"For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."- Acts 1:5
If there was no Jesus and God just forgave us without us having to do anything, or worse, what the old method of sacrifice meant, then we would be spending most of our days slaughtering animals unable to eat them in the name of God. There would be no grace however, for the fall of man was all for God's grace to be shown, a very important component to our human nature. We are only given peace while here, because of the only true Hope and that is the expectation of eternal life in heaven, only because we were saved from our own evil ways.

If there was no salvation, no convictions for the wrongs, or "wrongs" were not sin and God just allowed whatever to be whatever, then why would I not kill a man for cutting me off in traffic. There is no morality, just animals living to live, dying to die.

I guess without Jesus would there be heaven at all? Would we all just go to hell for we have no salvation, just die to die again? After all, things are only good when they are God, and everything else is measured against the only truth that has ever existed. Even in the Old Testament, direct interactions from God were't enough to persuade the people, and so the flesh had to show us true humility and sacrifice. Take that away and we have a world full of mystics, all claiming they are speaking to God, misleading the flock wherever the "powerful person" finds gain.

For those who believe there is only evolution and we are living to die, I have to ask what makes things good besides a collective idea from mankind that has been consistent throughout the ages? Do we not realize that the Christian household is the very foundation on which morality and progress stand? Do we fail to see that what we have been given is a body that will die, and the Holy Spirit within us craves eternal life? Do we not see that eternal is not a made up concept. Without Jesus, without God, there would be no eternal, for there would be a beginning. The end would be like a rock broken down over time, nature headed toward its inevitable end as nature does.

Trees spring up from the ground grow, tall, sturdy, only to age and wither, broken, dry. Branches falling, no more leaves, no more green, the wood is hollow. Nature shows us in her dance to the death that we are going, there is an end. The spirit wants more. One tree showed man that He is saved however, and the depiction of no Jesus, a living Hell, was crushed by this tree.
Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death."- John 8:51
The cross was real, Jesus's death did happen, our sins and therefore our pain, all the wrong and death, gone. Just like that, without us doing anything. Death no longer affects us. The painful reminder of Satan over our minds, provoking to fear, no more weight given to satan's hollow promise. Jesus died, debts paid, he was resurrected, thus he is God. The apostles filled with the Holy Spirit and this spread to believers throughout their time and on.
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."- John 10:10
There is nothing else. No more writing and clamoring about earth here and solving finite problems that are distractions. Instead, there is only eternity that matters, and it matters now. To think wrongly of this and deny Jesus's saving grace, if that is the choice you choose to make, look at the freedom to make the choice. Look at where your riches and glory come from. Also look to what isn't good, look at the lies and deceit that plague the world. Jesus saved us, we are no longer bound to the flesh, but risen with Him.
