Above all else, Love.
Thou shalt not...
Christians are commanded to, and commanded not to. Yet, this freedom Christ gave when he died on that cross has gotten distorted. A sense of entitlement has come about. It is not your church or church attendance that matters, the list of actions, charities you contribute to, or reciting of verses that are lingering words in your mind to sound haughty, that matters, but our love. We are commanded to love the Lord our God and love a neighbor like ourselves. These are non-negotibles.
Due to needing to categorize and condemn a man for their actions, keep them away from us, we Christ followers sure think a lot and do a lot for ourselves. We justify a sin when we know better. It turns out we are good at one thing aren't we, reviving an old forgiven nature, going back to our own vomit, awaiting a time to be spewed out of the mouth of the one who gave us life. A nature that a conversion of the Holy Spirit should no longer be in love with, no longer stand. A Christian should not be so abrupt, because love does not yell, but understands. Christians are still in love with the old nature and engage the ideals of that relationship when they fail to indulge the people we are called to be.
Do we not see it is in fact, unrealistic to live by Love in this world as our old nature, and it takes a miracle, a conversion of God in us to do so. I am an unworthy writer on anything related to accountability for I can write more of a wretch than I can of a pure man.
In the dreariness of my pre-awakened state, I wanted to hold on to that pain of loss a little while longer, for it was fascinating to toil in. Like one must feel after they trip and fall in the mud with their church clothes on, or getting caught in an unsavory act. It is the man who is caught that seems to pay the price. Yet, God knows the heart.
In my past I have desired those feelings of getting away with, getting by with just enough, cheating at every opportunity. I figured that cutting corners gets the job done just as well as anyone else, but removes the riff raff, and is appropriate and surely not, "wrong." In fact, my ease in justifying my own behaviors was due to an unhealthy thought pattern of my old nature, a selfish man. Being selfish dominates ones perspective of life and the ego is allowed to dominate in all ways.
"I must right the wrongs."
"They will see."
"They do not deserve justice."
These kinds of things are the beginning stages of a miserable person. Not at first. But over time a person who allows judgement of right and wrong and to go against the only one able to make decisions on such matters, God, is a person in misery. Let me tell you this, if you want to live the life of cheer, forget all the selfish ways to "fulfill" your life and instead focus on what you can do for others. It is man's nature to be evil and until we accept this part of us, turn from the selfish ways, sacrifice our life for the one who gave it to us in the first place, will any form of satisfaction ever be met.
I will ask that you consider your time here precious and that what happens in life does matter. There is a judge and He knows our motive. Doing for self, cutting corners provides a superficial high that leaves us lower in the end. Why not just give in to the love and allow all the sins from the past to burn behind us.

"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need.Practice hospitality."- Romans 12:9-13I had a dream and it was about cheating. I woke up in a panic. I had just ruined my life, went against every principle I stand for, my morals, values, my God. What had I done? Laying on my side, I was miserable. However, I could not quite connect the dots from the incident and where I was in bed. Slowly I made sense of the incident. It was just a dream.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."- JOHN 15:5It is with the utmost confidence that I can say there is no achievement, no money, no relationship, no removal of pain that can bring the contentment that a life lived for the Father, God provides. Accept the gift of grace that Jesus gave by dying on the cross.
