Generic Self.

Image
Like a box of generic cereal, a title too literal to misunderstand. Instead of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, we have us some sugar and cinnamon squares. Instead of Trix Cereal, we have fruity flavored balls (artificial of course). Instead of Frosted Flakes, we have Frosty Flakes (this one not so different). The words don't leave much to the imagination and are at a cheap price. At least when I hear Boo Berries there is a slight inquisition, an investment,  to buy the product, as opposed to the fruity flavored marshmallow corn cereal (not real). The second gives me exactly what I wanted to know and now don't have to do any searching. Online these days one can find anything they want. From online sales, to researching Saved by the Bell, The College Years , as I recently may or may not have done. Maybe you want to book a flight, or maybe you want to order a human through some, "backpage" website. Maybe you want to steal money, or invest in a currency unknown by most people....

Come With Me (Contentment level: Beginner).

Image
Bzzzzz there is a fly in this room right now. I cannot stand the filth I feel at times when there is a fly in the room. As though he is taunting me with his unnecessary buzz. What is that sound that comes from a housefly anyways? Is it their wings? Do they purposely make that sound to make them even more detestable? They are gross because they start out as maggots, they tend to poop whenever they land, they tend to be around gross things, and like my dog, tend to track in the house what they were recently in. How can I possibly find peace with this? How in the world am I able to dig deep enough to, "just ignore" the fly and continue on with as much contentment as I had before I head the fly's buzzing past my head? I cannot recall how content I was before this. I now realize what I had because it is gone. A tiny fly, his unnecessary noise, and now an interpretation of filth, how would anyone ever, feel content again? Well, I guess, someone could have it worse than the...

This is Body Image Disorder...

Slavery as we now know it now is passive in nature. It exists, of course it exists, because, well, one man pressing power on another is exactly what we are good at. Animals have power over other animals as Bees give us an example of what their bidding to the Queen, and ultimately to the hive, costs the workers. Predatory animals who hunt in packs, have a leader and natural submission to this leader exists, again, bidding to them as their needs met first, for the sake of the pack of course. Humans though, we are a different breed, our slavery, our control over another man is more malicious, more intentful to reduce a human being down to a tool, a piece of equipment unworthy of human rights. This is the premise set, one that through a few generation shifts is a foundation for underlying resentment and disgust on both ends. One group is grown from oppression and the other group is used to being superior, and as timelines grow closer toward each other, the once-superior group fe...

The Hairy Side of Parenting.

Image
The human hair, it grows all over the body. It seems to get more plenty in undesirable areas as we start declining in our productive years. Lanugo is the slight fur of a baby, necessary for warmth, the same hair that grows on a person whom suffers from anorexia. The hair above the eyes, well, that one has always been a mystery, maybe it keeps a slight bit from the second line of defense, the eye lashes. The more private areas tend to have a preference as to what is done with that, for women it helps keep a pH balance, men, it is useful for....smell maybe? Nonetheless, no hair is more important than the ones on our head, especially a girl's head. Girls have this ability to alter their entire persona by simply changing their hair style. One day they can be mysterious and dark with long, thick locks dyed a dark brown or a bold black, the next they can be a fun, party-girl with a short, blonde cut making the hair appear light and as free as its owner. Other hair styles, such as the a...

The Lost Ideals of Calvin and Hobbes.

Image
John Calvin (1509-1564)  wrote Institutes of the Christian Religion which reformed the Protestant Church he was a part of. He was an apologetic and his works are still regarded as critical texts for those who enter theology. John Calvin challenged the Roman Catholic church which he was a part of prior to his conversion to being a protestant.  Thomas Hobbes (1588-1679) was considered a founder of the modern political philosophy, which refers to a general view, or a specific ethic, political belief or attitude, about politics. Hobbes wrote Leviathan which served as the foundation for most Western political philosophy. These were his biggest contributions, however, he also contributed to history, geometry, physics of gases, theology, and ethics.  Calvin had to be the originator of Hobbes, thought him up, for his modeled character died 24 years before the birth of Hobbes. These are my interpretations, for the reasoning given in The Calvin and Hobbes tenth anniversa...

What's Good?

Image
Neither “good,” nor “bad,” yet somehow we still need to judge something in one way or another. We cannot do this with food however, for as I have said before, some nutrient-poor food with a high caloric count, still has benefit to someone. Food is in abundance at this point in the Western world, so we get to be picky. We get to choose what we like, and people can get away with, “not liking the taste of water.” As much as a teeter-totter gets a slight weight shift to go one way or the other, people’s perspectives are only as good as the information they receive. Except, if that isn't accurate, then..? Food provides energy, provides nutrients in their naturally-packed and most-easily absorbed form to satisfy. What happens when we eat foods that are processed where nutrients are removed for various reasons really has more to do with our discontent than it does anything else. Being dissatisfied is why people experience such displeasure with life and therefore respond so poorly. Disco...

Proceed With Caution

The need of a body to displace what is already being digested, or what has been mostly digested, happens at a speed incomprehensible to man. We can never fully measure the time from when one feels a, “sickness” coming on, to the point of discharge from the body. We can assume that this is relatively quick, for if this happened over a lengthy period time, we would always be in a convenient place when the body chose to get rid of its material. A child’s system is small, small in stature, supposedly small in quantities, but quicker, more efficient than us adults. As we get older we tend to slow in our abilities. Not just reflexes or ability to obtain knowledge, but in how efficient the system runs overall. When a child’s speed is utilized to discharge matter from its fragile being, there is no preparation, for the wave will come and the aftermath is felt by all. As the warm material submersed in a stringy, snot-like goo was expelled onto the side of my face, dripping down my shirt o...
